Our Classrooms
-
Purple Room (1-2 Years)
In the Purple Room, our youngest learners spend their days engaging in sensory-rich activities and connecting with their peers. Their experienced team of teachers focus on building secure attachments with each child as they begin forming a sense of classroom community.
-

Blue Room (1.5-2.5 Years)
Children in Blue Room are cared for by 3 teachers who are well versed in coaching children through budding independence in many areas of their day to day life. These students spend the year becoming more organized in their play and building relationships with their classmates.
-

Green Room (2-3 Years)
Children in Green Room are on the cusp between toddlerhood and entering preschool, which makes for a year full of incredible growth and change. These students have two dedicated teachers, plus an extra staff member at the beginning of the school year as they settle in. Green Room students spend their year exploring a variety of materials, experiences, and field trips which reflect their unique stage of development.
-

Orange Room (3-4 Years)
In Orange Room, children start the school year in September in a peer-group that will spend the next two years together! A team of 3 teachers cares for these children each day and facilitates the development of lasting relationships between the children. Children in Orange Room spend the year developing a growing sense of who they are within the context of a community through experiences which invite them to build skills around empowerment and empathy.
-

Yellow Room (4-5 Years)
Yellow Room is our last and oldest classroom! The teachers in this room strive to create a meaningful year full of bold adventures and deep exploration which reflect the children’s emerging ideas, theories, and identities. This community of young learners spends an immense amount of time outdoors both on our playgrounds and at community green spaces throughout the greater Seattle area. The Yellow Room teachers also work to ensure each family and child are well equipped for the educational environments on their horizon as they leave our care.
